Cindi Bergen Bio
I am an educator, meeting facilitator, personal cheerleader and keynote speaker. One of my greatest joys is empowering individuals to create radical change simply by shifting the way they view their relationship with life. That is, shifting from seeing the negative to seeking the positive in any situation. My experience has shown that simple shift, creates radical change. All that I teach and share is based on 30+ years of personal research, study and “trying it out in my own life”.
Education
I have a formal education with a Bachelors of Business in Human Resource Management and Masters of Science in Instructional & Performance Technology, both from Boise State University. However, I prefer to think of myself as a student of life. I discovered the belief that we create our own reality in 1980 when I began reading the Seth books. I have studied the Law of Attraction ever since. In addition, I’ve attended many personal growth seminars and formed and facilitated several groups. I have been teaching some form of self-empowerment since 1994.
Business Experience
Twenty-six years of experience in the corporate world includes eleven years with Hewlett-Packard (HP) in Learning and Development, and fifteen years in the grocery and food industry. My consulting skills in training and performance include: competency modeling, curriculum development, front-end analysis, intervention selection, instructional design and development, training delivery, in addition to developing and implementing evaluation strategies, and budgeting.
I am passionate about educating individuals, teams and organizations on the benefits of a positive approach to any problem. At HP, I co-created a community of practice focused on the technique of Appreciative Inquiry (a positive approach to business or personal issues) which grew to approximately 300 members worldwide. The community provided members with industry leading speakers, a knowledge repository, sharing of best practices, several classes on Appreciative Inquiry, and mentoring and coaching opportunities.
It has been my pleasure to have conducted multiple presentations on various topics including Appreciative Inquiry (Ai), Appreciative Inquiry in a virtual environment, working in a global virtual environment, competency modeling, the benefits of happy, engaged employees and work/life balance.
